BAR STANDINGS!
Each week after the kickball game the losing
team gets to choose a game to challenge the winning team to at the bar.
The teams at the bar get credited for a win or a loss and those go to the
bar rankings. There are no ties. Teams that do not show up for the
challenge will receive a forfeit!
Game Choices:
The bar wins will be tracked each
week via the “BAR STANDINGS” that will be sent out to the league each week. At the end of the season, the team that places #1 will receive a $100 bar tab.

Game Option #1 : BEER PONG
Rules:
- Beer Pong can be played with two or more people. It can either be played as singles (one against one,) or it can be a team game where you play doubles (two against two.)
- You will need 22 total 16 oz. cups and at least two ping pong balls. Place ten cups at each end of rectangular shaped table, the cups will need to be in a triangular/pyramid shape. One cup in front, then two behind it, and then three, etc. Put two cups filled with water off to the side on each end to clean the ping pong balls off if they happen to bounce on the floor.
- Fill each cup with beer. Depending on where you are and who you are playing with depends on how much beer you want to play with. If you are not real experienced with playing the game, fill each cup to the bottom line in the cup. If you fill each cup to that line each team will drink about two total beers in each game. If you plan on getting wasted quickly, fill each cup with beer to the top line.
- Decide who will shoot first. “Eye to Eye” can be used for this. One opponent from each team takes a ball and looks at the opponent in the eye and without looking at the cups, throws one ball each in an attempt to land it in a cup on the opposite side of the table. The first team to land a ball in a cup with this method is the team to start the actual game. When playing subsequent rounds, after the first game is over, the team that won the previous game will shoot first.
- The objective when shooting is to stand at your end of the table and aim your ping pong ball towards the other team's cups at the opposite end of the table. Each team gets two shots (one shot per person) per round. If you make the ball into your opposing team's cup, a person on that end of the table must drink the beer in the cup that the ball went into.
- For every ball that makes it into a cup, you should alternate drinkers and switch who drinks the beer. For example, if you drink the first time a ball makes it in, your partner drinks the next time. Same with turns for shooting. Alternate players.
- Bouncing Rule: It is considered a “bounce” when the ball bounces once or more off of the table and lands in a cup. If a ball bounces and lands in your opponents cup, they must drink two cups. Once the ball has made it’s first bounce on the table, opponents may swat the ball away to avoid it landing in their cup.
- If both balls are made, meaning that members of the same team shoot and land their balls into their opponents cups on the same turn, opponents must drink the cups in which the balls landed and must then give both balls back to the shooting team to allow them to shoot again.
- If both balls are made in the same cup, opponents must pull/drink the cups in which the ball landed and two additional cups. Balls go back to shooting team to allow them to shoot again.
- NO BLOWING- Blowing a spinning ball out of a cup is not allowed (also it’s gross!)
- The first team to shoot and make their balls into all ten cups, wins
- There are two re-racks per team for a 10-cup game. All re-racks must take place before both team members throw their ping pong balls.
- After the last cup is hit, each player from the losing team has a chance to hit the remaining cups, the game is over. If the players manager to hit all remaning cups, the game goes into a 3-cup overtime.
- Overtime: three cups are places in a triangle and the would-be winners shoot first. There are no re-racks.
- The remaining cups on the table that are full, the losing team must drink.
Here is a simple yet hilarious video on how Beer Pong is played:
Game Option #2 : CIVIL WAR
Supplies:
* Two teams of at least four players each
* Three plastic cups per person
* Two tables facing one another or one a long-wide table
* Beer
* One ping pong ball per player
* Water Cups for washing ground balls
Process for playing the Civil War drinking game:
- Divide players into two equal teams and place one team on each side of the table. Arrange three plastic cups in front of each player to form a triangle shape. Fill each cup half full or a third full with beer.
- Each player should have a ball in hand when starting the game and both sides start at the same time
- When players are ready to begin, all should count down from three to one, then shout "Civil War" to mark the start of the game.
- All at once, players should attempt to toss their ping pong balls into the cups staged in front of their opponents. Should a ball be sunk into a cup, the player immediately behind that cup must consume the beverage within. That player must finish the drink before throwing any balls. Balls that miss and hit the floor should be rinsed in the pitcher or glass of water before tossed again.
- Each player can continue in the game until the three cups in front of them have been hit and the beer inside consumed. Once a player runs out of cups, they are out of the game and declared "eliminated." Eliminated players can, however, serve as ball retrievers for their teammates.
- Continue playing until one of the two teams is completely eliminated. The team with cups remaining is declared the winner
Game Option #3 : FLIP CUP
- Prepare the materials needed for the game. Every player will need a plastic cup filled partway with beer. It doesn't matter where you fill it to, flip cup rules just dictate that everyone needs to have close to the same amount in their cup-unless you are a show off and want to demonstrate your ability to chug more just as quickly. Match-up with the opponent in front of you by touching cups and making sure that a) there are an equal number of players and b) you have the same amount of alcohol as your opponent in front of you.
- Play as a team. Flip cup is best played relay race style. You'll want to line up in the order you're going to drink, but it is best to have strong drinkers at the start and end of the line-up.
- Rules and protocol. To begin a round of flip cup, on the first run, you can sing 'flip cup' and then the first two people to drink should tap their cups to the table, tap their cups together, tap them back on the table and then chug the beer in their cups as fast as possible.
- Once the beer has been completely finished, a player will place their cup on the table in front of them right side up. Leave a little big hanging off the edge so that you can place your finger underneath it and flip it. Flip cup rules state that you must continue to flip your cup until you get it to land on the table, upside down, no matter how many tries that may take.
- Once the cup has been properly flipped, the next person on the team will begin to chug their beer and flip their cup. This continues all the way down the line until one team finishes first and is declared the winners!

Game Option #4: BASEBALL
Setup: 14 cups are needed, seven for each team, four representing the bases, then three on each side of the table representing bases for base runners. The four cups representing the bases are lined up in a straight line with the last cup at the edge of the table. The cups for flip cup are placed near the center of the table so that judging who won the flip cup can be done easily.
Game play proceeds much like a game of beer pong. The team that is up shoots the ball until they accumulate three outs, via getting 3 strikes (by missing the cups), being caught out (which can occur when a ball bounces off a cup and the opposing team catches it), or being thrown out stealing. At this point the other team begins to shoot. After nine innings the score is calculated and the team with more runs wins.
AT BAT:
Four cups are arranged so that the farthest cup is touching the far edge of the table. The cups are arranged vertically and touching so that each cup is one cup's diameter closer to the person "at bat." The cups are filled with beer so that the "single cup" (being the cup closest to the batter) is filled 1/4 of the way. The "double cup" is filled to half. The "triple cup" is filled to 3/4, and the "home run cup" is filled all the way.
If a player lands the ball in a cup the opposing team must consume that cup and all cups below it, e.g. the second cup is hit (a double) so the second and first cup are consumed. The cups are refilled to the appropriate line and placed back in formation.
Each player gets three attempts (strikes) to get a hit (make the ball in one of those cups). A miss is one strike. The opposing team can field the batter out by catching a foul ball (as described above).
BASE RUNNING:
When a player makes a cup they are said to be on base. Three cups must be set up as bases:
The "first base" cup must be filled 1/2 of the way full; the "second base" cup is to be filled 3/4 full; the "third base" cup is full. A designated "catcher" from the fielding team must also have a cup that is filled to 1/3. A base runner advances to the base corresponding to his at bat. A single puts him on first base, a double onto second base, etc. There are two ways to advance a runner: the runner can advance by the at bat player hitting the ball (which moves him the corresponding number of bases) or by stealing.
BASE STEALING:
This means they are now playing flip cup against a person from the other team, a catcher. If the person on base wishes to advance (steal) they begin to play single cup flip cup. If the person on base wins they advance, if they lose they are thrown out, and are off the bases and an out is recorded. The person attempting to steal must not try to steal until the opposing team has set and refilled their cups, an attempt to steal before this is done is considered void and must be sent back to the original base. If the catcher lifts up their cup before the base runner lifts up their cup this is a ball and the base runner advances one base. If a player throws a ball that hits a cup and the opposing team catches it, it is a strike. Should a player throw an airball (the ball touches no cups or the table) and is caught, it is considered an 'out' The person catching must rotate by inning and no one can
catch a second time until everyone has caught once. If a person shoots out of order just like in baseball if caught the shooter is not out but the person
that was skipped is out.

Game Option #5: GAUCHO BALL
Get
about 10 red cups and put them in the middle of the table, evenly distributed
between players. Get around 3-5 beers and fill all cups evenly, besides one in
the middle. (Fill middle cup full). Have 2 ping pong balls and 2 other empty
cups to play with and get in a circle around the table.
Two
players on opposite sides of the circle start with an empty red cup and ball.
Once the game begins, each player tries to bounce the ball on the table and
make it land in their cup. If you make it into the cup on your first try, you
may pass the cup/ball to anybody at the table. If you do not make it on your
first try, once you make it, pass it left.
At
any point if a player makes the ball in the cup and the person to the left of
them is still shooting, the player who made it takes their cup and stacks it
inside of the other player’s cup to their left. Now that he has been stacked,
this player grabs a cup from the middle and drinks it, then continues trying to
make it in the cup he just drank out of. Meanwhile, the taller and more
difficultly stacked cups are passed to the person to his left to keep the game
going on.
The
goal is to make it on your first try and pass it back behind the person who is
drinking, so they can get overlapped over and over again.
The
game goes until the last cup (the full one) is left. The final person to be
stacked upon must drink it.
Rule: You must pass it to your
left, unless you make it on your first try
Photos don't do this game justice. Watch a video of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXIZIDN1tOY
To start, each player has their own drink in hand. All drinks must contain the same amount of the beverage of choice. Set a glass (or shot glass if you're feeling lucky) in the middle of the table.
The first player bounces the quarter, attempting to get it in the glass. If he misses, the quarter is passed clockwise to the next participant. If he gets the quarter in the glass he will shoot again and get to order anyone he wants to take a drink.
Game Option #7: BEER BALL/CORNERS
Setup: Four cups full of beer and two beer pong balls.
Place 1 beer on each of the four corners of the table
Two teams are formed and play on opposite sides of the table
Teams switch off throwing their ping-pong balls at their opponents beer cans.
If one of the players hits their opponents beer can, the other player on their team can begin to chug their beer until the opponents can grab the ball and slam it on the table. (This is usually a bitch because the ball will ricochet off in some seriously random directions after it hits the can)
The team to finish both of their beers first wins.
Uh. It's just like this video but with extra people... SKIP AHEAD TO 2:00!
